Q&A
This is a KlickIt video that shows how to setup NameCheap’s managed WordPress hosting plan, called EasyWP, using a free temporary domain.
This is a great option if you have not yet purchased a domain name and want to start building your website while you are deciding on a permanent domain name to use. You can quickly and easily connect your permanent domain name once you purchase it.
If you already have a domain name, simply choose that option instead of using a temporary domain name during the hosting setup process.
Steps
To set up a Namecheap EasyWP hosting plan for WordPress:
- Visit Namecheap: Click the “Setup Hosting” button below.
- Choose a Plan: Select the EasyWP plan that suits your needs and create your Namecheap account. You can try EasyWP hosting free for 30 days – cancel anytime.
- Set Up the Site: Continue to your EasyWP dashboard, choose a domain (Namecheap or temporary), and complete the steps.
- Pick a Theme: Skip this step – you will be installing the Divi theme in the next lesson.
- Finalize and Install: Choose any plugins (optional), and confirm to complete the WordPress installation. You can always add or remove plugins at any time in the WordPress dashboard.
